Timeshare Breaks
Through our timeshare ownership, we had an opportunity to take weekend breaks from time to time at one of the Holiday Inn resorts. In March 2018 we did just that. A drive to Cocoa Beach, 45-minutes away, brought us to the a Cape Canaveral resort close to the cruising terminal and beach. Not that it mattered as we experienced heavy fog most of the time!
Orange Lake Resort in Kissimmee, FL is another favorite where we previously owned a unit. It is a large property with three golf courses and a lazy river pool to die for. This has been a go-to place over many years when cabin fever strikes. In September 2017, we took Michael Deyzel for a park experience while staying at the Resort.
Just after exams in May 2019, I took Kyla for a few days to get away from her work and studies to have some peace and quiet. It was time to recharge the batteries and we had fun!
While not a timeshare, Elsa and I did stay at the Holiday Inn on Jekyll Island off the coast of Georgia. The island was the playground of the rich and famous in the 18th century. The Rockefeller, Morgan, Vanderbilt, Pulitzer and Baker families had properties there. Serene and well maintained, the beaches and seafood were big attractions.
