Quick Trip to Visit Kyla in Boca Raton, FL
The Embassy Suites Hotel is an old building on the water in Boca Raton. We visited Kyla for a belated birthday weekend around March 7, 2017 and stayed at this ‘colonial’ hotel. Michael Deyzel, visiting from South Africa, joined us. It was an overall positive experience as we were right on the beach. For the rest, the hotel was overpriced and service under delivered.
Bocelli Live!
Although Orlando is just an hour or so from us, we seldom head that way. Traffic is always heavy and roadwork never seem to be done. But one makes an exception to see Andrea Bocelli live! As a March 2019 anniversary gift to ourselves, we headed to the TD Bank Center and were treated to the most incredible sunset on the way. What an experience!
SA Braai’s with the Jacksonville Group Over the Years
Rugby, sunshine and Chevrolet… In this case braaivleis, sunshine, and Chevy pickups. Always nice to visit and meet new people but mostly every second or third year. Once, we did a day-trip. Next, we stayed at a nearby hotel, and another time, we camped for the weekend. Nico / Charmaine Swanepoel and Phillip / Carol Jones most often join us if we stay true to this tradition.
