Truckee, CA is a small town about 45 miles from Reno, NV. Situated on the Truckee River, the town started as a lumber hub and rail station in the 1800’s. The cafe where we ate is in the original building built in 1898. The church dates back to 1880. So is the Truckee Hotel. It is a really cool place to visit. Gas prices though, are over the top! It is California after all.
