Manitou Springs is situated at the foot-end of the famous Pike’s Peak Mountain. Known for its mineral springs, Indians have used the waters for its healing powers for hundreds of years. In 1871, a town was established for the same reason. It is an interesting town with little shops in the narrow downtown area. We had brunch in the nearby Woodland Park, a railway town before the mountains. Naturally, we ate dinner at the local brewery in Manitou Springs.
