An hour’s drive from us in a westerly direction, is the town of Golden. Known for the HQ of Coors Brewery, it is also close to the Golden Gate State Park. The park consists of 22,000 acres with 42 miles of trails. It is a wonderful spot to see the Continental Divide.
The Continental Divide separates the watersheds that drain into the Pacific Ocean and the river systems that drain in the Atlantic Ocean. With elevations soaring to up to 14,000 ft., the Continental Divide offers beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains. Sharing some scenes on the way there and back.
