One of the first ‘trails’ we walked in Bangor was the Penobscot River Walkway. OK, it is not a trail in the true sense, but a casual stroll along the river for a mile from the start to the end and back. It is a scenic path that affords a beautiful view of the city and river. All along the way there are benches to take a break and simply watch the river flow. There are also a few restaurants, including High Tide, which is known for their lobster options.
