Away from the bustle of Cape Town and shanty communities, the road takes you to interesting towns with farmstalls, fruit vendors, and eateries.
The asphalt winds through high mountain passes, rolling hills with sorghum and wheat fields, sheep farms in semi-dry areas and fruit orchards in fertile soil. When visitors describe South Africa as ‘beautiful’, they might have some of these images imprinted in their minds. We certainly treasure them.
